"Boi" atracts multitudes in Manaus, Amazonas - Brazil. In the final appearances preceding the big show which happens in last weekend of june in Parintins, the "currais" (cattle hold) of Garantido and Caprichoso absolutely pack the Sambadrome of Manaus, where the official rehearses take place. The predominant colour of the clothes will indicate if it as a Caprichoso (blue) or Garantido (red) appearance. This was the last Caprichoso rehearsal of 2007. Parintins has the world record for spontaneus crowd movements in harmony, as tens of thousands dance and move to the rythm of their Boi during the unique Festival. |
